Welcome to FM Books, a site primarily dedicated to sourcing and offering books on Southern African military history post 1910. Not only South Africa but also Rhodesia, Angola, Mozambique – in fact, any sub-Saharan military history we feel may be of interest. During the course of our travels the books we aim for are often bundled with others and we purchase the bundles. These are offered under ‘Southern Africa History’ and ‘Others’ tabs. Occasionally there are further items on offer that may be of interest – hence the ‘Miscellaneous’ tab. Philately, military collectables, prints…peruse at your leisure.

How it works. To keep pricing as reasonable as possible, and to avoid possible data breaches and subsequent card risk, we have elected not to have a payment platform on the site. Find something you like? Calculate the total weight (each book shows its weight) and choose your delivery method.

For heavier package weights than those noted above please indicate the items you want on an email to us and we will revert with a revised delivery cost.

We can accommodate international orders via DHL – advise the items you’re interested in, and we will get back to you with the courier cost.
